A bookstore in Buenos Aires style.
El Ateneo Grand Splendid in Buenos Aires is one of the most memorable bookstores that I have visited. This used to be a theatre but in 2000 it was transformed into a bookstore. The seats were replaced with bookshelves and everybody can have their own performance on the stage as it is a cafe today. You can grab a book and have a look at it in one of the theatre boxes that once were used by the wealthy.
It’s easy to spend days in Buenos Aires just walking on the wide avenues and this bookstore is conveniently on one of the best ones Avenida Santa Fe.
